In its century of service, WD&D Architects has a long and successful relationship with the University of Arkansas Athletic Department. WD&D Architects led local design coordination, bidding, and administration of a $65-million project to radically upgrade the University of Arkansas’s home football stadium. The project added seating capacity, suites, a new exterior and a large-format scoreboard and video display. These improvements made the stadium more attractive to recruits and boosters and served as an economic development boost to growing Northwest Arkansas. In addition, the upgrades ensure the University of Arkansas remains on an equal footing with Southeastern Conference schools and other schools of comparable size.
