WDD Architects partnered with Bradley County on a multiphase restoration of its historic 1903 courthouse in downtown Warren. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the landmark had suffered significant deterioration and moisture intrusion that critically threatened the structural stability of its south exterior wall. WDD engineered and executed targeted stabilization and building envelope repairs to halt active water damage, safeguard the original historic fabric, and preserve the vital civic anchor for continued public use.
The restoration included foundation stabilization and underpinning, window replacement, exterior repairs and restoration of the courthouse façade. The work addressed critical structural and water-related deterioration while respecting the character of the original building. Through a phased approach, WDD helped Bradley County protect an important civic landmark while extending the life of a building that has served the community for more than a century.
