Little Rock Police Headquarters Renovation and Addition

The Little Rock Police Department Headquarters has relocated to a historic building on Markham Street, the McFadden Building, located across the street from the existing headquarters. This 1921 building is approximately 18,000 square feet of existing space, which has been completely gutted to the concrete structure and converted into a 19,088 square foot headquarters facility for the Little Rock Police. A new glass enclosure entry has been added onto the corner to serve as a secure public lobby, while a side entrance serves as remote entry for officers and staff.

Features of the renovated building include detective offices, large flexible open-office work space for officers, a large briefing/meeting room with Kevlar reinforced walls and high bullet-resistant windows, and blue up-lit bullet-resistant glass for the main entry space and facade.
