Project Overview

The Little Rock Police Headquarters renovation transformed the historic McFadden Building on Markham Street into a modern headquarters facility for the Little Rock Police Department. Located in downtown Little Rock, the project combined adaptive reuse, renovation, and strategic additions to create a secure, functional workplace for law enforcement operations while preserving the character of the 1921 building. The facility provides administrative offices, investigative workspaces, and public-facing services within a prominent civic landmark.

Design Features

The renovation completely modernized the historic structure while introducing a new glass-enclosed public lobby and secure staff entrance. Interior spaces include detective offices, flexible open work areas, and a large briefing room designed with Kevlar-reinforced walls and bullet-resistant glazing. The project balances transparency and security through the use of illuminated glass façades, controlled access points, and modern workplace environments tailored to the operational needs of the Little Rock Police Department.
