Maumelle High School emphasizes technology and comprehensive learning. The 325,000-square-foot school is made up of small communities of learning that allow for individualized instruction. The communities surround open spaces that include specialized classrooms for vocational and performing arts activities. Brick veneer and metal panel exterior reinforce the school’s foundation in teaching the basics and incorporating new technology. Sun shades, solar orientation, continuous insulation, cool roofs, daylight sensors and HVAC heat recovery contribute to the building’s efficiency.
