The Special Olympics Arkansas Legacy Building is a 7,500-square-foot headquarters facility in North Little Rock, Arkansas, designed by WDD Architects to support the organization’s statewide operations. The facility brings together administrative offices, meeting spaces, volunteer resources, and support functions under one roof while supporting an organization that serves more than 44,500 athletes across Arkansas. The new headquarters provides space for future growth while expanding opportunities, programs, and resources for athletes and their families throughout Arkansas.
At the heart of the facility is Champion’s Hall, a flexible gathering space for meetings, events, volunteer activities, and community programs, while a Legacy Wall recognizes donor contributions and celebrates the impact of Special Olympics Arkansas. Supporting spaces include conference rooms, private offices, open work areas, and a warehouse with dual overhead doors for equipment storage and distribution. The building’s layout promotes collaboration among staff and volunteers while providing the infrastructure needed to serve athletes and communities across Arkansas. Inspired by the energy and determination of Special Olympics athletes, the design creates a durable headquarters that supports the organization’s long-term growth and statewide impact.
