A two-story school that serves nearly 900 students, the design uses pods to create “communities of learning” surrounding the school’s media center, the hub of instructional design. A sustainable design strategy gave preference to recycled and local materials so that the design furthers the district’s initiative to provide students with intimate learning opportunities in a user- and environmentally-friendly atmosphere.
