The Jacksonville Downtown Development Study calls for a new civic square with green space and gathering areas in an urban core to stimulate business growth and bring more people downtown. The plan revitalizes Jacksonville’s Main Street, providing additional mixed-use business and residential lofts. The partially-implemented plan includes the development of the new Nixon Library in downtown Jacksonville.
