WDD Architects designed this 24,000-square-foot outpatient surgery center in West Little Rock to bring clinical, office and surgical functions together in a facility designed for two pain management physicians. The two-story building takes advantage of its sloping site to provide grade-level access to both floors, with the upper-level housing the clinic, offices and minor procedure areas and the lower-level accommodating a dedicated surgery suite with two fully functional operating rooms. The facility was also planned with adjacent space on both levels to support future expansion or additional tenants.

The design emphasizes patient access, comfort and natural light while meeting the specialized functional needs of an outpatient surgical environment. Covered drop-offs serve both levels, and large windows introduce daylight throughout the upper floor as well as waiting and future office areas. The exterior combines sleek metal panels with a base of native Arkansas stone, while a prominent steel-truss colonnade creates a distinctive entrance and welcoming arrival point. By working with the site’s natural slope, WDD created convenient ground-level access to both the clinical and surgical areas while supporting efficient use of the two-story facility.
