Springdale Fire Station #1

Project Overview

Location: Springdale, Arkansas
Client: City of Springdale
Project Type: Civic Architecture / Public Safety

WDD Architects designed a new Fire Station #1 for the City of Springdale, replacing the city’s main fire station that had been in use since 1962. The station serves both emergency response and department administration, with vehicle bays, offices, firefighter living quarters and support spaces designed around the daily operations of the Springdale Fire Department.

Design Features

Designed to support around-the-clock fire department operations, the station includes bays for up to 12 vehicles and living accommodations for up to 36 firefighters working in three shifts. Administrative offices, an exercise room, training room and separate three-bay maintenance building bring operational, training and support functions together on one site.
