John McDonnell Field is the outdoor home of the University of Arkansas track and field program and was designed to provide a premier venue for collegiate competition and championship events. The 7,000-seat facility supports one of the nation’s most successful track and field programs and has hosted NCAA and SEC championships, national events, and generations of elite collegiate athletes.

Design Features

The competition venue features a nine-lane, 400-meter Mondo track, grass infield, hammer cage, and multiple areas for throwing, jumping, and pole vault events. Reversible pole vault and jumping areas with multiple runways provide flexibility for competition and allow multiple events to take place within the facility.
