The 5,600-square-foot family residence in Greenwood represents WD&D Architect’s commitment to design, offering harmony between the natural and built environments. The form of the house and use of natural materials draw from Arkansas’s palettes that inspire designers and artists. The residence is an extension of a 7,500-square-foot storage barn, and WD&D Architects was tasked with ensuring the residence would not show age like old, wooden barns typically do. To accomplish that, architects called for a 24-gauge ribbed steel wall panel and gray standing-seam metal roof.
