The Ronald McDonald House of Arkansas is designed to LEED Silver standards, not just for environmental factors, but also to provide a healthier place for occupants. The 30-room, 60-bed building is designed to serve families of young patients at local hospitals. It contains laundry rooms, four cooking stations in a large common kitchen, individual family pantries, large dining room and family room. Children’s outdoor and indoor play areas are also incorporated into the design.
